Quantum Steel is an international company specialized in the import of special steels for the automotive, mechanical, chemical, petrochemical, energy segments, among others.
We specialize in the development of special steel markets for on a global scale, including approvals, marketing, distribution, logistics and financing, facilitating business between mills and local customers.
Our correspondents in all geographic regions strive to develop technical-commercial partnerships with special steel mills, having become, over time, a supplier of products and services to specialized distributors and end users, valuing relationships.
Hot work steels are materials that resist severe conditions of temperature, pressure and abrasion. In addition, hot work steels are resistant to the formation of cracks under successive cooling and heating conditions.
Hot work steels are used in punches, forging dies, extrusion dies, mandrels, among other applications. These components are common in steel, bronze and brass forging, copper alloy and nickel alloy extrusion, and aluminum extrusion and injection molding.
Cold work steel is generally resistant to the application of surface temperatures up to 200 °C.
The strengths of cold steel are high hardness for high wear resistance and good dimensional stability.
High speed steel is characterized by high wear resistance, high hardness during tool use, and can withstand operating temperatures of up to 600 °C. They are mainly used in tools used in machining or cutting processes.
Steels resistant to martensitic corrosion offer high corrosion protection in the hardened state, excellent wear resistance and excellent edge retention. Austenitic corrosion resistant steels offer very good corrosion resistance and very good hot and cold formability. They are usually cryogenic steels. Steels resistant to ferritic corrosion are generally low in nickel and exhibit a high resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
They can be carbon steels or alloyed steels, as a rule by adding chromium, molybdenum or nickel to the chemical composition, depending on the desired mechanical properties. We supply these products in ingots, blooms, blooms, forged bars, rolled bars, peeled bars, drawn bars and ground bars.
Steels for the manufacture of plastic molds or synthetic resins or rubber are characterized by good usability (there are large molds) or corrosion resistance or wear resistance, among other properties.
